Guys, been thinking of setting up a 'campaign'/affiliate manager extension whereby we will distribute a number of banners to third party websites and in turn, I would like to track such images (both impressions and clicks). Since google analytics allows to track clicks only, I'm thinking of writing an extension to do this. Maybe add in a few other features...

what are your thoughts for the best approach to do this?
