Hi to all,

I need a field that does this:

1- User uploads and image 2- Then they can draw rectangles on them so we can create an image map from those shapes

I know this could be done with an Upload Field and a Basic Text Field, or even the cool Dynamic Text Field. But for the regular user, it would be nice to package the two together with a nice UI permitting the user to actually draw the rectangles. And even better, be able to add meta data to each of those shapes...

So I created this thread in order to get advice (once again) from you guys. I always prefer to have some thoughts reviews before going into a more deep analysis.

What about... 1- Some UI library to 'draw' shapes on a image? 2- The need for something like this? I know I need it for one project, but I think the reuse would be hard... what about making it customizable? 3- Is there something that already exists (i saw the Image Cropper Field) that could be a nice starting point ? I thought of inheriting from the Upload Field...

I think the Pinnable Field and Position Picker extensions might be a good base for this.
