Hello,

On the install I read that I have to change all the .git/config files to symphonycms. But on the ensemble that I have downloaded (pompodium) there are not .git/config files.

How can I proceed ?

Roelof

Did you install the enseble via Git or did you download the .zip file?

I installed the ensemble via Git. I found a .git/config but it points to this : url = https://github.com/nielshoermann/pompodium.git

If I change it to symphonycms then I see a message that poppodium.git does not exist.

Roelof

Oh I see, Pompodium was created using 2.0.8. I think between 2.0.8 and now the GitHub username was changed from symphony to symphonycms, hence the message when updating.

But since you're not using the official Symphony repository but the one for Pompodium you shouldn't change that URL in the file but instead add the official Symphony repository as another remote to be able to pull from there.

I guess you're trying to recreate one of the many pages you were pointing to before, right? Why don't you try to create your page from scratch (using a blank Symphony install) instead of dealing with updating and modifying (both tend to break sites) ensembles that only fulfill half of your requirements?

I have read it here : https://github.com/symphonycms/symphony-2

And I did not do a git submodule update --init

What I did was change nielshoermann in symphonycms and then did a git pull.

Roelof

I edited my message while you were replying, sorry.

I can do that but this ensemble has a year/month archive which I want to use. If I do everything from stratch I have to make it myself and im still a noob at xml and xslt but what I say earlier Im eager to learn.

Roelof

Why dont you install the ensemble separately to the site you're creating and just ignore the fact that there is a newer version of Symphony. Once you have both sites running you can try and recreate the year/month archive in your own project while having a look at the Pompodium ensemble.

You mean i create two directory's : one for my own site and one for this ensemble.

That could be a answer.
