All you need is to change the date format in your config.php file. Don't be afraid, this has nothing to do with the database format. :-)
Hi Michael,
excellent, thanks a lot. I'm really relieved now. It's easier than I thought.
By the way, I recommended you to some company from Munich who enquired about web design with us two days ago. They seemed pretty unsure about it though.
OT:
By the way, I recommended you to some company from Munich
Yes, I talked to them via email. Unfortunately I am working on my biggest Symphony project ever, so I had to say "no" immediately. Thanks, however, for the recommendation!
(I hope to see you at the Symposium 2011. Maybe I will talk about my giant project! And email stuff, of course...)
Hi Michael,
Yes, it would be nice to meet you there. Who knows where the next Symposium will take place (maybe in Australia?), so I should better not miss it.
Nils already told me that you are doing pretty well down there in Munich and it would be great if you could share some of your experience with me / us. So I look forward to seeing you too.

Hello,
I wonder if I will have to re-install Symphony to use another date format?
Right now, in the backend I have this format:
14 April 2011 12:00My client would prefer this format however:
14.04.2011 12:00I've seen that it's possible to change this in Symphony. But is this a database issue, i.e. will I need to re-install the database from scratch to change the format? Or is there a simpler solution?
Thanks for any help...
