What version of Symphony are you using? Are you using navigation groups? And have you accidentally ticked the “Hide this section from the Publish menu” checkbox?
If you look in the HTML source in your browser of a page under /symphony look for ul#nav, what li children does it have?
I’m using 2.0.8RC3 which I switch to from 2.0.7 because of a js error which broke the admin interface in chrome.
- I haven’t accidentally checked the hide from publish menu
- I did assign a navigation group
- I doesn’t appear the source of the nav, other (earlier created) sections with the same navigation group do appear
thanks
Arrgh, Sorry, I had a plugin for to limit author access installed and I’d forgotten that it automatically hid new sections from the nav
:-)

When I create a new section it doesn’t appear in the dropdown menu at the top of the page, however you can see it in the blueprints > sections list and navigate directly to the publish page for the section via the url. The data also comes through to the front end fine as a data source.
This started happening when I transfered my symphony installation from a local server to an online one by duplicating the database, uploading the files normall and altering the config file and .htaccess to fit with the new setup.
Everything seems to be working fine except this display issue, any thoughts?
Thanks
