Basically I can’t access the Preferences page in the System section of Symphony 2.0.7. I’m not really sure what’s causing the problem or how to fix it. Both Authors and Extensions section are working just fine, as is the rest of the site.

I’ve attached the full log as a PDF. Any thoughts?

There doesn’t seem to be any attachment?

Yeah, attachments don’t seem to be working on the forum lately…

Fun times. Take two.

Does anyone know what’s causing this issue? It’s not killing the site right now but if I go to change anything on the preferences page it’s going to scream at me and that is a problem.

It seems like you installed export ensemble and removed the extension’s files without uninstalling it before.

Wow. That’s really weird.

So I’m looking at the files online and there are a number of extensions that are empty directories. Some are Symphony extensions and some are other downloaded ones, ones I would have no reason to ever touch. That’s rather worrying.

Oh well, at least I can simply upload the files to fix it. Thanks for the catch, Nils.

You certainly used GitHub’s download feature which never includes submodules - that’s why the core extension’s folders are empty.

I did indeed, however I always do this and I always download those folders as part of a default install. However, in this case only some of those were missing but amongst the ones that were missing were extensions that weren’t part of a default install. My own extension, the WMD Editor, had an empty folder.

I’m not entirely sure how it happened but I am sure it’s not because I forgot to download the extensions. That might explain why some of the default extensions were missing but not why a number of the extra ones were.

At this point I’m just assuming a faulty upload.
