Most definitely. Our Beginners tutorials are a good place to start to get a sense of how you’d proceed.
Thanks. I shall have a look. I love how symphony is light and simple, over the more complex Wordpress and Expression engine i’ve tried. I can use them fine, just my client will just want login, and post with no bulk!
Apologies for the double post. I managed to set up a simple blog following the tutorials, but I cannot figure out how to add an image to a post.
I’ve searched the forums, but can’t anything that’s helpful to me. I’ve added the image upload field to the part where you post something, it uploads fine, but I don’t understand how to make it appear in the post.
I assume that the template will need editing to display the image, however I don’t know the syntax. I’ll keep looking in case i’ve missed it, but if someone can post it here in the mean time, that would be great!
Also, any help putting all the categories into a list would be perfect.
Cheers.
You should also look at the Mediathek plugin (it’s in the extensions section). It’s fantastic, I use it on every site I create.

Hello, I’m looking to build a small website for a client, and i’ve been looking at CMS’s for awhile. Wordpress was my main thought, but far to bloated for what I need. Symphony looks perfect, nice and simple.
What I need is a blog type page, which allows one image to be posted (anymore will make that one image rotate, like a jQuery carousel) with a text description. The image will then pop up in a lightbox way. To the side I need a column which has a list of categories to group certain posts, similar to WP.
Is this easily possible using symphony?
Cheers!
