A couple of weeks ago some of us were experiencing weird errors that looked like Arrays being treated as Strings.

At first I stumbled across an issue in getPostData then some of us ran into problems when trying out the new Members Ensemble and I managed to break my installation of RC2 completely by simply adding a few fields to a Section (or something similar).

All those problems have been posted to the issue tracker but we haven’t had a response yet. Instead, 2.0.7 final has been released, and I am still seing the issues I’ve reported.

So my question is: Why wasn’t there any response to our issue reports and why did you release 2.0.7 final with so many people having problems with RC2?

Yes, must admit I was surprised to see 2.0.7 released with RC1/RC2 bugs still on the issue tracker. Perhaps a 2.0.8 is around the corner ;-)

2.0.8? Not according to the release page:

Version 2.0.7 is our last minor point release before moving to the version 2.1 development. This is primarily a stability release which adds new delegates and fixes a long list of bugs.

This is not exactly what has been promised, is it? I thought that we’d go on until we have a really cool 2.0 version. (Don’t get me wrong: There are lots of improvements in 2.0.7, and I like it. But maybe it’s not the “final 2.0” version that we have been waiting for.)

This is the same text that has been used for the first 2.0.7 release - so I wouldn’t take it too literally.

Sorry all. A bit frenzied on our end at the moment and this must’ve fallen through the cracks. We’ll get this patched up ASAP.

@phoque: are you using PHP 5.3 by any chance?
