Hi, I have a contactform which results get stored in symphony with an event. When I select ‘Send Email’ for the filter rules, an e-mail gets send to the admin, but I want this e-mail to be send to the visitor. Is this possible?

My code looks something like this:

...
<input type="text" name="fields[e-mail]" />
...
<input name="send-email[recipient]" value="fields[e-mail]" type="hidden" />

But when I do this, no e-mail gets sent to the recipient. Any way how to do this?

send-email[recipient] only takes a Symphony username, so the recipient has to be an author in your system. I’m not sure I understand your use-case though. Do you want the email to be sent to admin and CC’d to the visitor?

In an ideal case that would be preferable, but for now it would be ok to have the data stored in Symphony (I have this working now), and have a confirmation send to the author.

It is for a site where visitors can subscribe to keep informed for real estate projects that are yet to be build. I want to have an e-mail send to the visitor with a message such as ‘Thank you for subscribing’ as a confirmation.

If you need more flexibility, then Email Templates is your friend.
