Not sure if this is possible but I wanted to create a site for a football team and record all the information.

I’m currently looking at recording goals, and who scored them and when.

I have a Match Report section setup, but adding the Goals is proving to be tricky.

Any advice on how best to tackle that problem?

How does this work?

Does what it says on the tin. It adds a sub-section on an entry edit form. Create your Reports and Goals sections as you would normally, but include the Goals section inside a Report using a Sub Section field.

So I can actually add more than one goal per person?

Yes. You could set it up and try it first-hand quicker than I can reply ;-)

Please do not use the subsection field, it is terribly risky. A replacement will arrive at the same time as the next Symphony release.

We use this field quite a lot and will be a requirement on an upcoming project. Is there any reason why it shouldn’t be used? And if it’s going to be “retired” could it be stated in the README or somewhere? It’s useful to know a roadmap on things like this.

@buzzomatic: What exactly is “terribly risky”?
