I’ve wondered about this as well, would be cool to have a plugin where you could split the “Publish” Dropdown into a few different areas of your choosing.
The integration branch of Symphony on Github has the ability to assign sections to different navigation groups as you create your sections.
Nice!
By the way, did anyone notice that Symphony 2.0.3 was out? I didn’t see a single announcement. :-)
Cool! This means that the Membership extension will likely be released soon, as it relies on the updates made in the integration branch. Plus, the team had mentioned something about releasing an ensemble similar to the Symphony CMS forum which relies on this extension.
Rowan has been busy squashing bugs, so I figured something was afoot.
The announcement for 2.0.3 may be waiting for the updating of extensions that had some issues with the integration branch, many to do with the new navigation group feature. The Publish Filtering extension, in particular, was not working when I tested last. This would be a good time to create a feature to track extension compatibility.

Indeed.
Update: The Publish Filtering extension does work in 2.0.3.
lol, cool. Too funny that we were talking about this feature as 2.0.3 was updated on the home page and we didn’t even know it!

Hi there,
I was wondering if it is possible to somehow group the items in the publish section..
I am building a website which has many pages, which in turn produces many publish sections (the sections aren’t really alike, so I can’t combine them). It is almost up to a point where the lower publish sections can’t be reached on smaller screens because it falls below the window..
Or is there another way to go?
