Symphony extends a PHP module for session handling, is that correct? Is it possible that different versions of PHP are causing the trouble?

Yes, that’s one of my frustrations too. I recall that it’s indented when I spit it out of Symphony, so it could be that the FirePHP plugin cannot render indented text as if it were in a <pre> element.
