I like the bunny.
:-)
That’s a logo that I designed for my sister’s little online store, Cotton Bunny. It’ll be powered by Symphony.
He’s one crazy-eyed bunny.
When the time is right i’d like to hear all about how to setup symphony as a shop. I’ll be needing somethng simple for personal use soon, and for now am considerign hooking frevvo.com into a symphony install (because it does total amounts and sends invoices per email via google docs templates)
@newnomad, would you shop serve as the payment portal as well?
The site is beautiful in it’s simplicity.

My clothing business website is built using Symphony and integrated with PayPal standard and IPN. I’ve been thinking about how I can create it as a flexible extension(s).
@lewis and @wtdtan, No I dont need integration, as mentioned all I want on checkout is a proforma invoice to print. With that invoice customers can either pay it offline, or online at a hosted creditcardprocessor, like paypal basic. The same invoice is also mailed to me and printed to be used as invoice (tear of proforma, and add number) and packing slip.
Really, it doesn’t get any more simple then that. Just need working cart and logics to add correct shippign and taxes per country,… Thefore I thought simply embedding (modal window) a frevvo form (it can do all the calculations and logic) and then have it email my invoice setup at googledocs as template. But if I could do this entirely with symphony, that would rock too.
Suggestion: people have adopted the @username syntax when replying directly. As on Twitter, would there be a benefit of linking these to profiles?

Funny, I’ve been thinking today, if it would be possible to create a page in the profile and/or a rss feed gathering all entries containing my own username.
Your new Site is very very nice…I am surprised !
@nickdunn: I like your suggestion, though I think they should link them to the relevant reply (a la this post). Obviously there some fuzzy logic in determining exactly what’s being replied to, but it would be more useful.
Yeah that would be great to create a lifestream; pull all your comments across multiple boards with co-comment, disqus, facebook connect, rss feed from google groups, and the feed from your profile page here.
A modified linkahashify template may be enough to add the @username syntax. Not sure how easy it would be to link these to a post rather than a username, mind.
I thought a reply link that populates textarea with the appropriate Markdown might be enough.
FYI: Here’s an example of what I mentioned above: http://www.digitalnoon.com/blog/articles/conversations_for_expressionengine
I am seriously in love with this site. I just can’t stop coming back to it. :-)
Can we have a Top button at the bottom. It would be most convenient, and save me wearing out my mighty mouse nipple.
Since I am always in a hurry, I use the browser’s keyboard shortcut to return to the top of a page.

I’m guessing you don’t like Mario, michael-e – I think he’s one awesome dude, but since people have to stare at my icon every time they come here, I’ll try and find something that people will approve.
