I like the addition of the field type to the dropdown but I think there needs to be some separation between them. At present a Map Location Field named “Map” would yield a dropdown option of:

Map Map Location

I suggest either brackets Map (Map Location) or a colon Map: Map Location to keep consistency with other parts of the UI. Brackets would be my choice.

I couldn’t find a generic way of achieving this, but updated the JS to look specifically for text + first children (e.g. Text here <i>first child</i>) and transform to Text (first child):
