I’ll look at updating it to support HTTP authentication. Just to be clear, I assume you mean something like http://username:password@mysite.com/blah correct?

This issue is closed.
Right now the gateway doesn’t care about HTTP authentication. parse_url already returns the correct values. It’s just a matter of using them.
